January Joys and Jaunts

Well, January came and went. We stayed very busy as usual. Karl was called as the 1st counselor in the Bishopric at church. He'll be great. I was overwhelmed with the PTA Reflections program at the kids elementary school. I was the chair for the first time this year and it was a bit much. Amanda participated with a dance choreography submission. The judges were impressed and she moves on to the state level. Boy was I happy when I dropped all of the projects off at the state PTA office on January 22nd. Now we are playing catch-up on chores and other projects. We are also preparing for our SuperBowl party on Sunday!

Here are some of the other highlights from January:

Jacob is playing basketball for the first time. He's doing well. (He's the loner with the navy jersey and gray t-shirt waiting for the rebound.)

Trevor tried on Jake's new basketball shoes. He even managed to take some steps in them. He can always bring smiles to our faces.

We got a Wii from Santa. Everyone has been enjoying it!
At the gymnastics meet at KMC in Pennsylvania a few weeks ago, Amanda got 1st on beam. Beam is her event. The judges commented to her coach that her routine could be the example for everyone else. (one of these days I'll try to get some video of her posted)

And for the Grand Finale- Trevor's "gorilla crawl." So funny! He has been walking for awhile, but this is just too cute. He's chasing his bouncy ball around.




That's about it for us this month. We are looking forward to February and our trip to Vermont to stay in the Von Trapp Lodge and SKI! We could use some relaxation as a family. Life gets crazy sometimes!
